Self-adhesive labels

The label is the part of the pack that has to survive everything

It goes through the filling line, the cold chain, the warehouse and the customer's hand, and it has to still read at the end of it. That is why the specification starts with what the pack goes through — not with what looks good on screen.

Clear film for the no-look finish on a bottle. PE for a pack that will be squeezed. Metalised where the shelf needs it. Frozen-food adhesive where the cold chain will otherwise lift a corner.

Every label capability above is backed by the same test regime

Scuff, tape and ink rub tests, accelerated ageing, colour measurement and 100% automatic control on rewinding — because a label that passes on the proof and fails on the line has cost you the run.

  • Scuff test — Simulates the abrasion a pack takes in transit and on shelf, so the print does not rub away between despatch and purchase.
  • Tape test — Checks ink adhesion to the substrate. If the ink lifts with the tape, the stock, the corona treatment or the ink system is wrong for the job.
  • Ink rub test — Measures how the printed surface stands up to repeated contact — the test that matters for pharma packs handled many times before use.

Send us the pack, not just the artwork.

A photograph of the container and the fill line tells us more about the right stock than a spec ever does. Send both and we will come back with a recommendation and a price.
